Fellow Libras, I realize that we take pride in our ability to balance. We find balance in family, friends, education, career, and often times we take on the role of the "glue" that binds relationships together. So please, my friends, don't ban me from our gang when I tell you that my scales are off, like, completely.
Unlike most mature & rational 20-something's I base important life decisions on horoscopes and fortune cookies. "My lucky number is 17? I better make some SERIOUS moves on the 17th!" (No, I mean it.)
When I say I'm going to do something, I have to do it immediately. That's how I ended up traveling through half of the US and Canada during my teens and early 20's. (Well a boyfriend in tight jeans and pop-rock music also had something to do with it, but you get the picture.) It's also how I spent 6 months studying (sailing, skydiving, sand boarding, surfing) in Australia and volunteering with sick infants in South Africa.
You see Libras? If the "mature" thing to do is sit at a 9-5 waiting for my vacation time to accrue so that I can fly to Florida 1 week a year and fly back to Boston with post-vacation depression in order to keep my "balance" I just can't do it. I've never been one to dip my toes in before taking the plunge.
I just jump.
